Job summary

Constantia Fertiliser, part of the TWK Group, invites applications for a Fertiliser Sales Agent in Secunda, Mpumalanga. You will promote fertiliser products, provide expert recommendations, support customers through the sales process and implement fertiliser programmes.

Key duties include product knowledge, order coordination, pre- and post-sales support, and building long-term relationships with farmers. A matric and sales or agriculture qualification, plus five years of fertiliser industry

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 completed.
• Relevant tertiary qualification (sales, management, agriculture).
• 5 years’ experience in the fertiliser industry.
• Good negotiation skills and team player.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell fertiliser products to agricultural customers.
• Provide expert product recommendations and customised fertiliser solutions.
• Coordinate orders, delivery schedules and quantities.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance.
• Maintain relationships to generate future sales.
• Develop cost estimates and proposals for fertiliser programs tailored to customers' crop needs and budgets.
• Take soil and leaf samples and monitor crops during the growing season.

Job Summary

This role involves promoting and selling fertiliser products to agricultural customers by providing expert product recommendations and customised fertiliser solutions and identify new business opportunities, support customers throughout the sales process, and ensure the successful implementation of fertiliser programmes.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Developing a deep understanding of various fertiliser products, their compositions, benefits, and application methods
• Utilising fertiliser expertise to recommend suitable products and application strategies that align with the customer’s agricultural goals
• Coordinating fertiliser orders, ensuring accurate quantities and delivery schedules are met
• Providing pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance, addressing customer inquiries and concerns
• Maintaining positive business relationships to future sales
• Developing cost estimates and proposals for fertiliser programs tailored to customers crop needs and budgets
• Basic fertiliser programs (Wheat, Canola, Barley, Oats, Lupins, Luzern and Cover crops)
• Taking of soil and leaf samples
• Crop monitoring during the growing season
