Job summary

Constantia Fertiliser, part of the TWK Group, is seeking a Fertiliser Sales Agent to promote and sell fertiliser products along the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal. You will provide expert product recommendations and customised fertiliser solutions to agricultural customers, exploring new business opportunities and supporting customers through the sales cycle.

The role requires knowledge of fertilisers, strong negotiation, and the ability to coordinate orders, prepare proposals, and conduct soil

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 completed.
• Relevant tertiary qualification (sales, management, agriculture).
• 5 years' experience in the fertiliser industry.
• BASOS certificate (advantageous).
• Good negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing a deep understanding of various fertiliser products, their compositions, benefits, and application methods.
• Utilising fertiliser expertise to recommend suitable products and application strategies that align with the customer's agricultural goals.
• Coordinating fertiliser orders, ensuring accurate quantities and delivery schedules are met.
• Providing pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance, addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
• Maintaining positive business relationships to future sales.
• Developing cost estimates and proposals for fertiliser programs tailored to customers crop needs and budgets.
• Basic fertiliser programs (Wheat, Canola, Barley, Oats, Lupins, Luzern and Cover crops).
• Taking of soil and leaf samples
• Crop monitoring during the growing season

Job Summary

This role involves promoting and selling fertiliser products to agricultural customers by providing expert product recommendations and customised fertiliser solutions and identify new business opportunities, support customers throughout the sales process, and ensure the successful implementation of fertiliser programmes.
