Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Farm Operations Coordinator to support the Farm Management team at their Welkom facility. You will coordinate daily activities, manage inventory, oversee equipment maintenance, and liaise with suppliers to keep operations running smoothly.

Requirements include a high school diploma; a certificate or diploma in Agriculture or Business Administration is a plus; and at least 3 years in an administrative or coordination role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in administrative or coordination role, preferably in agriculture.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic understanding of farm operations and terminology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily farm activities, including scheduling labor, machinery, and resources to meet operational goals.
• Maintain accurate records of planting, harvesting, livestock movements, and inventory levels.
• Manage farm supplies, equipment maintenance logs, and order new materials as needed.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and external service providers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Assist in the implementation of farm safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support the Farm Manager in planning and executing seasonal operations.
