Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a compassionate Family Support Coordinator in Welkom to strengthen families by providing resources, guidance, and support to parents and caregivers. You will connect families with essential services, promote positive parenting, and help create a supportive home environment within the Free State community.

The role focuses on direct case management, developing tailored support plans, and coordinating with local providers to ensure a holistic, coordinated approach to family

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Social Work, Child and Family Studies, or a related field.
• Previous experience in family support, case management, or child welfare services.
• Good knowledge of local resources and support systems available in Welkom.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and case management to families seeking assistance.
• Assess family needs and develop tailored support plans to address specific challenges.
• Facilitate access to community resources, including educational programs, childcare, and health services.
• Organize and lead parenting workshops and support groups to enhance skills and build networks.
• Maintain confidential client records and track progress towards achieving family goals.
