Placements24 in Cape Town is seeking a Production Floor Manager with 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience to oversee large-scale operations. Qualifications

Responsibilities

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the production floor, leading teams, optimizing processes, and achieving key performance indicators. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a strong hands‑on approach, capable of managing complex production lines and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This is a demanding, on‑site position where your leadership will directly impact the company's success in the competitive Western Cape market.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate, and develop a diverse team of production operators, technicians, and supervisors.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in production management within a manufacturing environment.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large production teams and achieving challenging targets.
• Expert knowledge of manufacturing best practices, lean principles, Six Sigma, and quality management systems.
• Strong understanding of production machinery, process optimization, and industrial safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
• Must be able to work full‑time and on‑site in Cape Town, Western Cape.
• Proficiency in relevant production management software and ERP systems.
