Job summary

Dante Personnel is seeking a seasoned factory leader to take full operational control of a manufacturing facility in Mpumalanga. The role focuses on aligning all departments to meet production plans and customer requirements while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Applicants should bring extensive experience in managing Department/Production Managers, implementing KPIs, corrective actions, and waste reduction, with Lean/Six Sigma knowledge as a strong advantage.

Qualifications

• 8 years of manufacturing and factory management experience.
• Proven experience managing Department Managers or Production Managers.
• Knowledge of production planning, stock control, waste reduction and quality management.
• Understanding of maintenance and labour productivity.
• Experience with KPIs and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen advantageous.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Take full operational control of the factory and establish clear priorities.
• Ensure all departments work together to meet production plans and customer requirements.
• Conduct regular factory-floor inspections and address safety, quality and efficiency issues.
• Manage Department Managers through targets, KPIs, accountability and follow-up.
• Monitor production output, waste, stock control, efficiency and downtime.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained and corrective actions are implemented.
• Manage staffing, labour, discipline, training and team development.
• Ensure health and safety, housekeeping and 5S standards are maintained.
