Placements24 is seeking a proactive Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance across our client's industrial facilities in Mossel Bay. You will lead a team of technicians, plan preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and operational integrity of plant equipment.

This on-site role requires strong leadership, hands-on technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and CMMS experience.

Our client seeks a proactive and hands-on Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the upkeep and operational integrity of their industrial facilities in Mossel Bay . This critical role involves managing a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring all plant equipment, infrastructure, and utilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety and efficiency. You will be responsible for planning and executing preventative maintenance schedules, responding to emergency repairs, and managing spare parts inventory to minimize downtime and operational disruptions. This is an on-site position requiring strong leadership and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, including scheduling and task assignment.
• Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for all plant equipment and facilities.
• Oversee the repair and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement processes to ensure availability of critical components.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to maintenance activities.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and performance logs.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Trade Test certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Proven experience with preventative maintenance strategies and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Strong understanding of industrial equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively on-site in Mossel Bay and manage a team.
