Job summary

Protea Hotels by Marriott® is seeking a Management-level leader responsible for all food and beverage operations, including culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service. The role focuses on guest and employee satisfaction, adhering to F&B regulations, and developing a business plan to meet financial goals.

The incumbent will oversee budgeting, team supervision, and day-to-day operations, driving service standards and continuous improvement across all F&B areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
• OR 2-year degree with 2 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages all financial, employee engagement and guest satisfaction plans and actions for Food and Beverage departments.
• Maintains a positive cost management index for kitchen and restaurant operations.
• Utilizes budgets to understand financial objectives.
• Manages the Food and Beverage departments (not catering sales).
• Supervises and manages employees and day-to-day operations; coverage during absences.
• Leads by example and fosters motivation, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Education

2-year degree in Hospitality/Hotel & Restaurant Management or related
