Placements24 is recruiting an accomplished Food and Beverage Director for a premier resort in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will lead culinary and service operations across fine dining, bars, banqueting, and room service, driving revenue, profitability, and guest satisfaction.

The role requires a visionary leader with 10+ years in F&B, 5+ in a director capacity, and a strong financial acumen. You will mentor a high-performing team, manage costs, and ensure health and safety standards are

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in F&B management with at least 5 years in a director-level role.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field; Master's preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of culinary trends, beverage management and service operations.
• Proven financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, P&L management and cost control.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
• Experience with menu engineering and event planning.
• Proficiency in F&B management software and POS systems.
• Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall F&B strategy to drive revenue and profitability.
• Oversee the daily operations of all F&B outlets, ensuring high standards of quality and service.
• Manage departmental budgets, control costs (food, labor, operating supplies), and optimize financial performance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the F&B management team and staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Develop innovative menus, beverage programs, and promotions in collaboration with culinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Manage inventory, procurement, and supplier relationships.
• Implement and maintain high service standards across all F&B touchpoints.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
• Collaborate with other department heads to ensure a cohesive guest experience.
