Job summary

Sentinel Staffing Services is seeking an External Sales Representative to expand the footprint across Gauteng. The role involves daily travel to service client networks, visiting hardware stores, and engaging with applicators and contractors on-site to showcase textures, finishes and colours.

The candidate should have 2+ years in external field sales, a passion for design, and own a reliable vehicle. A petrol allowance and cell phone allowance are provided along with an uncapped commission

Qualifications

• 2+ years of external field sales experience.
• Experience in paint, decorative finishes, hardware, or interior design is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

• Gauteng-Wide Travel: Travel daily across the province to service and expand client network.
• Store Management: Visit retail hardware stores and stockists to optimize product displays, manage stock levels and train store staff.
• Applicator Engagement: Build relationships on-site with specialized coating applicators, contractors, and artisans.
• Creative Consultation: Use your aesthetic sense to help clients choose the right textures, finishes and colours for their specific design projects.
• Product Demonstrations: Conduct practical, hands‑on demonstrations of their decorative cement and paint products.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of external field sales experience. Experience in paint, decorative finishes, hardware, or interior design is highly beneficial.
• Creative Flair: A natural passion for design, color coordination, textures or DIY projects to effectively pitch aesthetic products.
• Mobility: Must own a reliable, roadworthy vehicle and hold a valid South African driver's license for daily travel.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to switch communication styles effortlessly between a corporate retail buyer and a hands‑on applicator on a construction site.
