Avalon Lester in Gauteng seeks an External Sales Consultant – Food Science to develop B2B relationships, grow sales and provide technical support for products in the food and chemical industries. The role requires grade 12, training in related field, 2–5 years of external sales, and travel willingness.

Fluent in English and Afrikaans with MS Office proficiency, valid driver’s license and own transport are essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Formal qualification or training in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry or related field advantageous.
• 2–5 years’ experience in external sales, technical sales or a related customer-facing role.
• B2B sales experience, preferably selling technical products.
• Food science or chemical industry experience advantageous.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Experience in new business development, market research and customer relationship management.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport essential.
• Gauteng-based and willing to travel.
