The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or Ph.D. in Geology/Geophysics with 7+ years in oil and gas exploration geology, strong mapping skills, and proficiency in Petrel and Kingdom.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Geology, Geophysics, or related Earth Science.
• Minimum of 7 years in oil and gas exploration geology.
• Proven track record in seismic interpretation and mapping.
• Strong understanding of sedimentary basin analysis and petroleum systems.
• Proficiency with Petrel and Kingdom software.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new exploration opportunities and prospective basins worldwide.
• Perform detailed geological analysis including seismic interpretation, well log and core analysis.
• Develop regional geological models and play fairway maps.
• Conduct basin analysis and prospectivity assessments using advanced software and datasets.
• Estimate UIIP and assess geological risks; collaborate with subsurface teams.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and proposals for exploration acreage.
• Stay abreast of latest geological technologies and exploration trends.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related Earth Science discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in oil and gas exploration geology.
• Proven track record in seismic interpretation and mapping.
• Strong understanding of sedimentary basin analysis and petroleum systems.
• Proficiency in geological software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom).
• Experience with frontier exploration and new ventures is a significant advantage.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and presentations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse technical team.
