Job summary

Nedbank seeks a seasoned executive to act as the transformation accelerator for the CEO and Group Chairman, partnering with the Chief Strategist. You will sharpen enterprise focus, strengthen decision quality and lead high-impact initiatives across the bank.

This role requires deep strategic acumen, senior leadership experience in financial services, and the ability to navigate ambiguity, drive execution, and deliver measurable value at scale.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business, Finance or Economics.
• Postgraduate qualification such as MBA, MCom, MSc; CA(SA) or CFA advantageous.
• 10–12 years in senior leadership, enterprise strategy, or corporate development with cross-functional delivery.
• Approximately 15+ years with proven transformation delivery in large financial services.

Responsibilities

• Shape the CEO/Executive agenda and enterprise priorities.
• Advise the CEO as trusted counsellor and challenger for better decisions.
• Drive decision-quality discipline and timely action across the enterprise.
• Lead transformation initiatives across group functions and ecosystems.
• Partner to convert strategy into sequenced execution and value capture.
