Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related technical discipline is required.
• A Master's degree or MBA is advantageous.
• 10–15 years of progressive experience in mine operations management with leadership roles.
• Proven experience in large-scale underground or open-pit mining operations.
• Strong knowledge of mine planning, scheduling, ventilation, dewatering, and ground support.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day mining operations, ensuring targets, safety, and environmental standards.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize extraction, efficiency, and costs.
• Manage the operational budget to meet financial objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of mining professionals.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement in mining methods and technology adoption.
• Manage relationships with regulators, contractors, and local communities.
• Ensure effective maintenance and utilization of mining equipment and infrastructure.
• Conduct performance reviews and development plans for staff.
• Report operational performance and initiatives to senior management.
