Job description

Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Executive Head Of Finance (Mining) to join their mining company based in North-West. You will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership by overseeing financial planning, reporting, governance and commercial support to ensure sound financial performance and informed business decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the finance function to support business objectives.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes across the organisation.
• Oversee financial reporting, management accounts and year-end financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and financial reporting requirements.
• Manage treasury, cash flow and working capital to support operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain effective financial controls, governance frameworks and risk management processes.
• Provide financial analysis, modelling and commercial support for business initiatives and capital projects.
• Lead audit processes and liaise with internal and external auditors.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, processes and reporting.Lead, mentor and develop the finance team to promote high performance and succession planning.

Requirements

• National Senior Certificate
• CA(SA)
• Minimum 15 years' finance experience, including senior financial management within a mining environment
• Experienced in JSE listed requirements
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of taxation, statutory compliance and financial governance.
• Experience in treasury, cash flow management and financial modelling.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP or similar).
