• Ensure proper accounting of capital expenditure, capitalization, and depreciation of assets.
• Prepare project proposals using financial modelling tools and support management decisions.
• Forecasts, actual expenditure, cash flow and variance analysis.
• Support internal and external audits and vendor payment processes.

Key Responsibilities

• The incumbent is responsible to effectively plan, direct, and coordinate all financial-related activities of the organization.
• Ensure good control over capex spend/financial modelling for Projects.
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate finance control systems, policies and procedures. Specific focus will be on ensuring governance and compliance.
• Drive overall cost control, as well as department budgets, ensuring efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
• Ensure proper accounting of all capital expenditure, timely capitalization and depreciation of assets.
• Prepare project proposals with the help of various financial modelling tools and develop sound recommendation for management decisions.
• Preparations of forecasts, actual expenditure, cash flow and variance analysis.
• Participate and value add during contract negotiations and contract finalisation. Maintain complete control over vendor payment, hygiene of capital work in-progress and fixed assets accounts.
• Responsible for smooth conduct of both internal and external audits.

Experience and Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent) e.g. B Com.
• Highly advantageous: Qualified CA.
• Minimum of 8 years relevant experience, with minimum of 3 years' experience at management level in a mining / construction / project's environment.
• Knowledge of applicable legislation.
