A reputable mining organisation is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the entire finance function, including month-end and year-end processes. The successful candidate will prepare management accounts, lead budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with IFRS and tax regulations. Strong analytical skills and experience in the mining industry are essential. This role offers the chance to contribute to a growing organisation in a dynamic environment.

Qualificações

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller within mining or heavy industry.
• Solid understanding of cost control and operational finance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full finance function, including month‑end and year‑end processes
• Prepare and review management accounts and consolidated financial reports
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations and industry requirements
• Oversee VAT, income tax and statutory submissions
• Manage general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
• Liaise with auditors, banks and external stakeholders

Skills & Requirements:

• BCom in Accounting
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller within mining or heavy industry
• Strong Microsoft Dynamics experience (advantageous)
• Solid understanding of cost control and operational finance
• Strong analytical, leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, compliance‑driven environment
