Apex Group is seeking a highly capable Financial Controller to lead the finance function in Cape Town. The role covers accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance with IFRS.

You will influence strategic decisions, drive profitability, and ensure the company’s financial stability in a growing business. This senior leadership position requires a professional accounting designation and extensive experience in finance, with a focus on accuracy, governance, and team

Qualifications

• Professional accounting designation (CA(SA), CIMA or ACCA) is mandatory.
• 7+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or controller role.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, auditing and financial analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of South Africa financial regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting cycle, GL management and regulatory reporting.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure data accuracy.
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting and planning processes.
