Job summary

Apex Group is seeking a Finance Controller to join the Finance Division in Cape Town, reporting to a Senior Manager. The role focuses on accurate accounting of legal entities and cost review to ensure records' integrity and completeness.

CA/CIMA/CPA accreditation and at least two years post articles experience are preferred. Key responsibilities include month-end close oversight, audits, regulatory reporting, budgeting, and close collaboration with global finance teams.

Qualifications

• Two years post article experience
• Recognised accreditation (CA/CIMA/CPA)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts

Responsibilities

• Oversight of timely month end close for multiple legal entities
• Management of legal entity audits and timely submission of financial statements
• Oversight of production of statutory financial statements
• Oversight of timely production of regulatory reports and capital requirements
• Oversight of payment procedures ensuring proper cash management
• Management of the annual budget process
• Liaise with Head of Finance – Americas and Local MDs Finance reporting to boards
• Accounting support for billing and FP&A teams
• Stay current with IFRS developments impacting the firm
• Handle ad hoc requests as necessary
