Placements24 is seeking an exceptional Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager for a landmark Upington establishment. You will helm both kitchen and front-of-house operations, crafting seasonal menus, leading a skilled team, and ensuring flawless service that delights every guest.

In this demanding role you will balance culinary artistry with cost control, staff development, and regulatory compliance, shaping the dining experience and driving guest satisfaction in a vibrant hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role with executive chef responsibilities.
• Proven track record in culinary innovation, menu engineering and cost control.
• Strong knowledge of front-of-house operations, service standards, and staff management.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
• Higher culinary degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute seasonal menus aligned to brand.
• Oversee kitchen operations including inventory, procurement and hygiene.
• Lead and train kitchen and front-of-house staff.
• Control food and labor costs through inventory and scheduling.
• Manage restaurant floor operations and guest service.
• Address guest inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
• Collaborate on marketing, events and promotions.
• Ensure safety, sanitation and licensing compliance.
