Absa Group in South Africa seeks an experienced Executive Assistant to support senior leadership, coordinating key projects and stakeholder engagements, and ensuring the smooth running of executive activities.

You will manage the executive's inbox and diary, arrange internal and external meetings, plan domestic and international travel, prepare presentations, and maintain filing systems with discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, Office Administrator, or Project Administrator.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual collaboration tools.
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritise the executive's inbox, diary, meetings, and follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate and arrange internal and external meetings, conferences, and events, including venues, catering, agendas, minutes, and stakeholder communication.
  • Support project administration by tracking deliverables, timelines, action items, and status updates.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements, including flights, accommodation, itineraries, travel packs, and expense claims.
  • Prepare professional presentations, reports, correspondence, and other business documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and administrative processes.
  • Support stakeholder engagement by coordinating schedules, communications, and meeting materials.
  • Act as a trusted first point of contact, ensuring queries and requests are handled professionally.
