Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef, Cook or similar culinary role.
• Ability to prepare a variety of dishes.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work under pressure in events.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible hours for evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes for events according to client specifications and established recipes.
• Ensure high standards of taste and presentation for all menu items.
• Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with the catering team, including event managers and other kitchen staff.
• Manage inventory of ingredients for assigned events, reporting any shortages.
• Follow recipes and portion control guidelines accurately.
• Handle food safely and adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown as required, including plating and serving food.
• Contribute creative ideas for menu enhancements and specials when appropriate.
