Job summary

Pam Golding Properties is seeking an experienced estate security officer to safeguard the main house and stables. You will perform day and night security, control estate access, monitor visitors and vehicle movements, and respond promptly to incidents.

Requirements include a valid driver's license with no endorsements for at least 5 years, and at least 10 years in security, with matric (grade 12) or fallback grade 10 with extensive experience. You will work shifts and maintain logs and reports.

Qualifications

• Matric required; Grade 10 acceptable with long security experience.
• At least 10 years of experience as a control and/or security officer.
• Valid Driver’s license with no endorsements for at least 5 years.
• Security-related training is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform day and night security and control services as scheduled.
• Control access to the Estate per Company procedures.
• Verify visitors and maintain visitor registers.
• Monitor entry and exit of vehicles.
• Conduct regular patrols, especially at night.
• Prevent unauthorised access to the Estate.
• Report security breaches or suspicious activity immediately.
• Maintain the daily incident logbook.
• Communicate updates via the WhatsApp group.
• Manage parking during events and maintain emergency access routes.
• Provide courteous assistance to staff, agents, visitors and guests.
• Transport staff safely and professionally.
• Ensure vehicles are cleaned and maintained; conduct daily vehicle inspections.
• Monitor pump systems and dosing; check for leaks.
• Report maintenance issues; keep guardhouse neat.
• Ensure surroundings are hazard-free and uniforms are clean.
• Uphold professional appearance; comply with health and safety requirements.

Job description

To provide effective estate security services ensuring the safety of company assets across main house and Stables at all times. To ensure the safe transportation of staff as and when necessary.

Applicants must have a valid drivers license with no endorsements for at least 5 years.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day and night security and control services as scheduled;
• Control the access to the Estate in accordance with Company procedures;
• Verify visitors and maintain visitor registers;
• Monitor the entry and exit of vehicles;
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises particularly during the night shift;
• Prevent unauthorised access to the Estate;
• Immediately report any security breaches or suspicious activity;
• Maintain daily incident logbook;
• Communicate any relevant operational updates via the WhatsApp group;
• Manage parking during company functions and events ensuring orderly parking and the maintenance of emergency access routes;
• Provide courteous assistance to staff, agents, visitors and guests;
• Transport staff safely and professionally;
• Ensure that vehicles are cleaned regularly and maintained in a good position;
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections (tyres, lights, oil, fuel etc.) and report mechanical faults immediately;
• Monitor pump systems and ensure correct dosing mixture levels;
• Conduct routine checks for leaks and irregularities;
• Report maintenance issues timeously;
• Maintain a clean and tidy guardhouse;
• Ensure surrounding areas are neat and hazard free;
• Maintain uniforms in a clean and professional condition;
• Uphold professional appearance and standards at all times;
• Comply with all health and safety requirements;
• Perform reasonable, additional duties as and when operationally required.

Education & Experience
