Job summary

TSU Group Holdings is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee protection operations at the site, monitor control room systems, and coordinate with civil authorities during emergencies. You will supervise security officers, uphold client values, and ensure a safe, professional environment.

The ideal candidate should be neat, well-presented, and capable of working with VIP clients and management. Prior CCTV/Alarm experience and a valid PSira Grade A are essential, along with a Code 8 driver’s license

Qualifications

• Psira Grade A registration up to date and valid.
• Grade 12 completion.
• Driver’s License Code 8 is valid and current.
• Firearm competency for handgun required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Qualification in CCTV/Alarm systems.
• Experience with CCTV or Control Room environments.
• Experience with Alarm systems.
• Good physical condition and neat appearance.
• No criminal record.
• VIP security or VIP client experience is advantageous.
• Residence in/near Hout Bay or access to reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible and reliable toward the client at all times.
• Lead and supervise a team of Security Officers.
• Post Security Officers at various site points as required.
• Ensure guards are neat, well-groomed, and sober at duty.
• Conduct building inspections during shifts and report irregularities.
• Record incidents in the Occurrence Book and notify Control Room.
• Oversee manpower deployed on the site or area of control.
• Maintain proactive and alert operations at all times.
• Ensure the security workplace is kept neat and tidy.
• Write effective reports and statements; assist in investigations.
• Operate CCTV and access control systems as trained.
• Follow emergency procedures and conduct evacuation drills.
• Report security equipment faults promptly.
• Prepare monthly audits, stats, and weekly reports.

Site Supervisor

To oversee and co-ordinate protection operations of the site at which deployed, monitor all systems and equipment in the control room and facilitate irregularities and defects to relevant people. Liaise with civil authorities in case of emergencies, and as well as provide, supervision of security officers deployed in the building of control. Uphold the client’s values and principles at all times.

The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping facilities safe and problem-free.

The vacant position will require the incumbent to work closely with our VIP Client and Management; thus, the ideal candidate should be neat, presentable, have excellent communication skills and a high level of professionalism as well as the ability to work well with people.

Responsibilities

• To be responsible and reliable towards the client at all times.
• Always to be an example to Junior Security Officers, working under his/her Supervision.
• Must be well informed of the Company Disciplinary Code.
• Must have the ability to lead a team.
• Responsible to post Security Officers at various points in the site.
• To see that Security Officers is neat and tidy dressed and shaved, and sober before reporting for duty.
• To observe and do a building inspection during shift.
• Report any irregularities to the Control Room and Contract Manager and foresee that such incident is written into the Occurrence Book.
• Supervision of manpower deployed on your site or area of control.
• Be alert and pro-active at all times.
• To see that the security workplace is kept neat and tidy at all times.
• Effective report writing and statements.
• Must assist in investigations and provide necessary information.
• Must be able to work on computer and other security system (CCTV and access control).
• Must be conversant with emergency procedures and evacuation drills.
• Must report all security equipment faults and alarms promptly.
• Monthly audits; stats and weekly reports.
• Effective customer service.
• Must be aware that all lost and found equipment must be handed over to the control room.

Minimum requirements

• Psira Grade A – registered and up to date

Salary range: R18 000 - R21 000 per month
