About the Role

You will conduct impact assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor environmental performance to minimize ecological footprints. Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and related studies for new and existing energy projects . Develop and implement environmental management plans (EMPs) and monitoring programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Assess potential impacts on biodiversity, water resources, air quality, and soil, and propose effective mitigation measures. Monitor environmental performance at project sites, collecting and analyzing data on key environmental indicators. Liaise with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and the community to address environmental concerns and ensure transparent communication. Provide technical expertise and guidance on environmental matters throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to decommissioning in Port Elizabeth .

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Management, or a related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or project management, with a focus on the Energy Sector . Demonstrated experience in conducting EIAs, EMPs, and ecological surveys.
