Placements24 is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to oversee environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives for mining operations in the Paarl region and surrounding areas in South Africa.

You will lead the development and implementation of environmental management plans, conduct EIAs, and drive regulatory compliance while fostering a culture of environmental stewardship across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental management, with a strong focus on the mining sector.
• In-depth knowledge of South African environmental legislation (e.g., NEMA).
• Experience with environmental monitoring, reporting, and auditing.
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
