About the Role

This senior position requires a deep understanding of environmental legislation, impact assessment, and sustainable mining practices. You will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental management plans, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility across all site activities. This role is critical for maintaining our client's license to operate and ensuring responsible resource extraction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive environmental management systems (EMS).
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and local environmental laws, regulations, and permit conditions.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) for new projects and operational changes.
• Oversee environmental monitoring programs, including water quality, air emissions, and biodiversity.
• Manage waste management, rehabilitation, and closure planning activities.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, and community groups on environmental matters.
• Provide training and guidance to site personnel on environmental best practices.

Requirements
