Placements24 is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to lead environmental stewardship from a remote-first base. You will drive compliance with regulations, promote sustainable mining practices, and develop EMS frameworks across operations.

The role focuses on audits, EIAs, stakeholder engagement, and coordinating with regulators while delivering continuous improvements and an executive-level benefits package.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years in environmental management, with mining sector experience.
• Proven track record implementing EMS (ISO 14001) and knowledge of SA environmental legislation.

About the Role

This role is instrumental in ensuring that all mining operations comply with environmental regulations, promoting sustainable practices, and minimizing ecological impact. You will develop, implement, and manage environmental management systems, conduct impact assessments, and liaise with regulatory bodies and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive environmental management plans and policies for mining operations.

Requirements
