Black Pen Recruitment is assisting a client building payments infrastructure across Africa. We seek a Senior Business Development Lead for South Africa to own enterprise revenue and guide strategic accounts.

You will set the commercial strategy, build a high-performing team, and drive multi-stakeholder deals, partnering with C-suite clients and internal stakeholders to accelerate growth while upholding our client’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise BD, sales, or strategic account management.
• 4+ years leading managers in high-growth B2B (fintech, payments, SaaS preferred).
• Own regional revenue targets or P&L and meet aggressive goals.
• Experience leading complex multi-stakeholder enterprise deals in SA.
• Strong understanding of SA payments and digital commerce landscape.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SA BD & Account Management function.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of BD and AM managers.
• Own enterprise pipeline and quarterly/annual forecast.
• Guide complex deal & account strategy with C-level stakeholders.
• Champion product & technical fluency and align on strategic opportunities.
• Model and embody the client’s mission and values in leadership.
