Job summary

Sasol is seeking a Foreman to oversee engineering maintenance within the Mining segment, ensuring targets are met through effective planning, preventive maintenance, and condition monitoring. You will lead a team, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with SOPs and safety standards.

The role emphasizes developing talent, driving continuous improvement, and coordinating cross-functional activities to achieve production targets in a challenging mining environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years relevant experience.
• National Senior Certificate or equivalent required.
• Mining engineering maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering maintenance strategies and overhaul plans to meet KPI targets.
• Manage maintenance costs against budget and ensure equipment availability.
• Ensure adherence to maintenance programmes and SOPs within area of responsibility.
• Coordinate planning and execution of predictive maintenance and condition monitoring.
• Drive safety performance and compliance with SHE policies and standards.
• Recruit, train and develop staff and manage vacancies and turnover.
