Arup seeks a Senior Energy Design Consultant to join the multi-disciplinary Energy team in South Africa, focusing on PV, wind, storage, green hydrogen and micro-grid projects. You will lead energy project delivery, support business development and mentor junior team members in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• B.Eng. or BSc. in Electrical engineering, preferably with renewable energy and professional registration with ECSA.
• Knowledge of project planning and management, feasibility studies, concept design development and preparation of technical specifications and tender documentation, with focus on PV, wind, storage, minigrids/micro-grids and grid systems.
• Experience leading energy projects, business development and client-facing activities in renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver technical advisory, owners engineer and design services within the renewable energy sector for clients.
• Prepare and manage bids/proposals and write technical reports and presentations; review reports and drawings by others.
• Mentor and develop junior energy team members across Arup South Africa offices; provide technical and commercial guidance.
