Job summary

The Green Recruitment Company is seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Engineer to join its client’s African energy transition projects. You will lead technical advisory and due diligence for utility-scale wind, solar PV, hydro, and BESS, delivering high-quality reports to developers, lenders, and project owners.

The role involves feasibility studies, design reviews, contract and grid-connection analysis, site visits, and supporting proposals with international travel.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or similar.
• 10+ years' experience in renewable energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of utility-scale wind, solar, hydro, and/or BESS.
• Experience in technical due diligence, owner's engineering, or consulting environments is advantageous.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally.

This role offers the opportunity to work on utility-scale wind, solar PV, battery energy storage (BESS), and hydro projects, providing technical advisory services to developers, lenders, investors, utilities, and project owners.
