Job summary

SOLTRAK is seeking an Energy Analyst with a strong data analytics focus to join our team in Cape Town. This full-time role sits at the intersection of energy data, performance insight, and platform development.

You will evaluate plant performance, develop telemetry schemas, and contribute to new features on the SOLTRAK platform. Ideal candidates have a BSc/BSc Eng in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic or Statistics, at least 1 year in Renewable Energy, and a solid background in statistics and

Responsibilities

• Management and integration of greenfield and brownfield projects onto the SOLTRAK monitoring platform.
• Undertaking performance evaluation assessments with senior energy analysts to identify underperformance.
• Assess opportunities to improve plant performance by evaluating key KPIs.
• Assist with development of telemetry schemas and protocols.
• Assist with development of new features for the SOLTRAK platform.
• Collaborate with end users to improve user experience on the platform.
• Work with the software development team to roll out new features.

Location: Cape Town, South Africa Type: Full-time Remuneration: R25,000 - R30,000 p/m

SOLTRAK is looking for an Energy Analyst with a strong data analytics focus and a passion for renewable energy to join our team in Black River Park, Observatory, Cape Town.

About Us

SOLTRAK is a renewable energy performance tracking company that gives renewable asset owners insight into the performance of their assets. SOLTRAK offers independent performance reporting, support in setting up and administering O&M agreements, and access to a live monitoring platform that provides real-time access to performance metrics for an asset portfolio in one location.

The service provides comprehensive monitoring that gives owners complete visibility of their assets or portfolio of assets. SOLTRAK also supports owners in procuring and structuring O&M agreements with a fair and clear framework to adjudicate underperformance. Monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports are generated by SOLTRAK and include a comprehensive set of performance metrics, written to be useful to both the technical and the non-specialist reader.

SOLTRAK forms part of the SOLINK Group and works alongside SOLINK's advisory, wheeling and project development teams. SOLTRAK is a dynamic and young company with great ambitions to have a positive impact on the renewable energy sector in Sub-Saharan Africa. Responsibilities

• Management and integration of greenfield and brownfield projects onto the SOLTRAK monitoring platform.
• Undertaking performance evaluation assessments together with senior energy analysts to identify areas of plant underperformance.
• Assess opportunities to improve plant performance by assessing key performance metrics.
• Assisting with the development of telemetry schemas and protocols.
• Assisting with the development of new features for the SOLTRAK platform.
• Working closely with end users/asset owners to understand what changes could be made to the SOLTRAK platform to improve the user experience.
• Working with the SOLTRAK software development team to develop and roll out new features.
• Working with SOLTRAK's automated reporting framework, introducing new features, and identifying bugs and fixes.

Qualifications & Skills

Required

• Technical qualification (BSc/BSc Eng - Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic or Statistics).
• One year's work experience, preferably in Renewable Energy.
• Strong statistical and analytics background/experience.
• Driver's licence.

Remuneration

R25,000 - R30,000 cost to company per month. Final offer in line with the candidate's experience and qualifications.
