Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Practitioner to join a residential care facility in Rustenburg, North West. You will provide high-quality, person-centred support to residents with disabilities, promoting independence, dignity and daily living skills.

The role requires empathy, strong communication, shift work including weekends/public holidays, and a commitment to ongoing professional development within the Community & Social Care sector.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Disability Studies or related field (NQF 4) is essential.
• Proven disability support experience, preferably in residential care.
• Knowledge of person-centred support and relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care and support per individual plans.
• Assist with daily living tasks, hygiene, mobility, meals, and domestic duties.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for reactions.
• Support participation in community activities and social events.
• Maintain confidential resident records and communicate with teams.
