Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Manager to lead all aspects of employee relations for operations in Benoni. You will be a trusted advisor to both employees and management, upholding policies and labor laws while fostering a respectful, transparent work culture.

The role focuses on addressing grievances, managing disciplinary processes, and ensuring compliance with SA labor legislation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Law, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years in employee relations or a similar HR role.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor law and industrial relations.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and mediating disputes.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve employee grievances and disputes promptly and fairly.
• Manage disciplinary processes, including investigations and hearings documentation.
• Advise management on employee relations issues, policy interpretation and legal compliance.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote positive employee relations and prevent conflicts.
• Ensure compliance with South African labor legislation, including the Labour Relations Act.
• Conduct trainings for managers and employees on employee relations best practices and policies.
