Job summary

Jonsson Workwear is seeking an embroidery operator to join our depot team in Cape Town. You will analyze project specifications, prepare and execute embroidery with precision, and frame garments according to customer requirements.

You’ll maintain the embroidery machines, manage stock and merchandising, and assist with quotations and customer follow-ups. The role requires 2 years of embroidery experience, fluency in English, and strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook); Syspro experience is

Qualifications

2 years' experience as embroidery operator or machinist preferred.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel, Word, Outlook; Syspro preferred.

Responsibilities

Analyze and understand project specifications and customer needs before starting each embroidery project.
Deliver high-quality embroidery that meets delivery times with attention to detail.
Set up and run the embroidery machine with correct threads.
Frame garments according to customization sheet and customer requirements.
Maintain embroidery machine and perform basic maintenance.
Build and maintain relationships with customers.
Ensure products are well stocked and merchandised to high standard.
Prepare quotations for current and future orders.
Follow up with customers on outstanding orders and quotations.
Process customer payments at Point of Sale and handle cash desk when required.
Available to work on weekends when required.
