Placements24 is recruiting an Electrical Technician for our client in Paarl, Western Cape. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical distribution equipment and ensure safe power delivery to customers.

Required: N3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, Trade Certificate (Artisan) as Electrician/Electrical Fitter, minimum 3 years' experience with LV/MV systems, ability to read schematics, and a Code 10/EC driver's license. On-site field work and strict safety principles are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and diagnostic tests on electrical systems to identify faults and potential issues.
• Respond to power outages and emergencies, working efficiently to restore service.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures.
• Operate and maintain specialized equipment and tools used in electrical work.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and test results.

About the Role

Our client, a utility services provider, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Technician to join their power distribution team. This hands-on role, based in Paarl, Western Cape , involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution networks. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and safe delivery of electricity to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude, practical experience with electrical systems, and a commitment to safety protocols. This is a critical role in maintaining essential infrastructure within the Paarl community and surrounding areas. The position requires active participation in on-site operations and field work.
