Placements24 is seeking an innovative Electrical Systems Design Engineer for a Randburg–Gauteng office. The role focuses on conceptualizing, designing, and implementing electrical systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects.

You will manage power distribution, lighting, earthing, and integration of renewable energy sources and BMS, while collaborating with architects and other engineers to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical design for buildings or renewables.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and DIALux.
• Knowledge of power distribution, lighting, and earthing design.
• Experience with BMS and smart-building technologies is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop detailed electrical designs for buildings and facilities.
• Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD/BIM tools.
• Perform load calculations and fault current analysis to comply with codes.
• Design and integrate renewable energy systems (e.g., solar PV).
• Specify electrical equipment and coordinate with project stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits for inspection and verification.
