Gold Fields Group Services (Pty) Ltd at South Deep Gold Mine in Westonaria seeks an experienced Electrical Supervisor Engineering to oversee SIB projects, ensure health and safety compliance, and manage electrical infrastructure installation to Mine code of practice standards.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial/mining settings, MV/LV expertise, supervisory experience, and relevant certifications; candidates must be medically fit and prepared for field operations.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Electrical Trade Certificate.
• Medium Voltage Certificate.
• Supervisory managerial training with relevant certificates.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an industrial & mining environment on medium and low voltage equipment as an Artisan and 5 years in a Supervisory capacity.
• medically fit as determined by risk-based medical exam and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Report to the SIB project coordinator electrical.
• Ensure Health and Safety of project teams per standards.
• Contribute to Zero Harm culture and safety policy compliance.
• Perform inspections, tests, and maintenance on MV/LV equipment.
• Lead and supervise project teams for safe, compliant execution.
• Assist with training electricians and drafting electrical standards.
• Assist with electrical audits and close out of audit findings.
• Lead investigations and fault finding; engage with OEMs and suppliers.
• Manage annual project budgets and spares inventory.
• Perform maintenance on winding systems, ventilation equipment, cranes.
