Job summary

Marvel Placement Consultants seeks an experienced Electrical & OHL Construction Supervisor for mining and heavy industrial projects in South Africa. You will supervise daily electrical and overhead power line construction, coordinate contractor crews, review drawings and plans, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires a National Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, 8+ years of relevant experience, site supervision, and knowledge of OHL

Qualifications

National Diploma or recognised technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 8 years' relevant electrical construction experience in mining, infrastructure or heavy industrial projects.
Proven site supervision experience in electrical construction environments.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily electrical and overhead power line construction activities.
Coordinate contractor crews, specialist plant, materials, access, outages and workfront interfaces.
Review electrical and OHL work packs, drawings, route profiles, structure schedules, foundation details and stringing charts.
Verify workfront readiness before construction activities commence.
Monitor tower and pole erection, conductor and earth-wire stringing, testing and energisation.
Ensure installations comply with approved designs, specifications and statutory requirements.
Monitor progress against approved schedules and document outcomes.
