Job summary

Sought Out is seeking a Workshop Operations Manager to oversee the repairs workshop in Gauteng. You will lead the workshop team, ensure safe, high-quality repairs, and optimize turnaround times, while aligning with business objectives of the electrical wholesale operation.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership and the ability to drive improvements in quality, safety, and productivity. Applicants should have relevant electrical qualifications and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in electrical engineering or related field (preferred).
• Trade test certificate is advantageous.
• 5+ years' experience in electrical repairs or technical workshop.
• 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Experience within an electrical wholesaler or similar industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise all workshop repair activities.
• Ensure timely diagnosis, repair, and testing of electrical equipment.
• Monitor workflow to meet turnaround time targets and customer expectations.
• Maintain SOPs and health and safety compliance.
• Lead and develop workshop technicians and support staff.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement of tools and consumables.
• Maintain records and report on workshop performance using ERP systems.
