Placements24 is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our facilities management team in the Queenstown area of the Eastern Cape. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across commercial and industrial sites, ensuring safety and minimal downtime.
The role requires a qualified electrician with at least four years of industrial experience, PLC knowledge, and proficiency with testing equipment.
Qualifications
- Qualified Electrical Maintenance Technician with trade certs.
- Minimum 4 years in industrial or commercial electrical maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, PLC systems and power distribution.
- Proficient with electrical test equipment and diagnostic tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency electrical maintenance and repairs on facility systems.
- Diagnose faults using testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
- Install, maintain and repair power distribution, lighting, control circuits, and motor controls.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance for reliability and safety.
- Read electrical schematics and manuals to guide work.
