Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for our industrial operations in Mahikeng. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, and repair electrical systems to keep critical infrastructure running safely and efficiently.

The role requires a Trade Certificate or Electrician certification and at least 3 years of industrial experience. Expect to work with schematics, VFDs, and motor controls in a hands‑on environment with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate or equivalent qualification.
• 3+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, plus manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on electrical systems, motors, control panels, and power distribution equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including wiring issues, motor failures, and control system malfunctions.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical equipment according to schematics and manuals.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status.
