Job summary

Southern Housing in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team. You will oversee planning, execution, and coordination of all electrical maintenance activities to ensure equipment availability and operational efficiency.

You will manage technicians, implement preventative maintenance programs, enforce safety standards, and maintain facility integrity.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Electrical Engineering (Electrician, N5 or higher).
• 3–5 years in electrical maintenance; 1–2 years in supervision.
• Strong knowledge of motors, generators, switchgear and control systems.
• Experience with CMMS is advantageous.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical maintenance technicians.
• Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and provide guidance.
• Manage spare parts inventory and timely procurement.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide training opportunities.
