Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a Centurion, Gauteng facility. You will develop preventive maintenance programs, diagnose faults, and manage spare parts to ensure high uptime and reliability of electrical systems.

Ideal candidates hold an Electrical Engineering qualification with 4+ years in industrial maintenance, including motor controls and PLCs. You will work with safety standards and collaborate with production teams to minimize disruption.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering with hands-on maintenance experience.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing complex electrical systems, including PLCs and motor controls.
• Proficient in reading schematics and following technical documentation.
• Knowledge of safety procedures including LOTO and work under pressure in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot faults and perform repairs to minimize downtime.
• Interpret schematics, blueprints, and manuals to diagnose issues.
• Inspect electrical systems and promote safe, compliant practices.
• Manage spare parts inventory and oversee new equipment commissioning.
• Train technicians and coordinate maintenance with production teams.
• Maintain records of activities and equipment performance.
