Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering with hands-on maintenance experience.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing complex electrical systems, including PLCs and motor controls.
• Proficient in reading schematics and following technical documentation.
• Knowledge of safety procedures including LOTO and work under pressure in an industrial setting.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent manufacturing facility, is seeking a dedicated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their operations in Centurion, Gauteng . This critical role ensures the optimal functioning and longevity of all electrical systems and equipment within the plant. You will be responsible for developing and implementing preventative maintenance schedules, responding to urgent breakdowns, and improving the overall reliability of electrical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced industrial environment. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive preventative and predictive maintenance programs for all electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and breakdowns efficiently, minimizing downtime.
• Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose and fix issues.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical systems, identifying potential hazards or areas for improvement.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical systems, including motor controls, PLCs, and instrumentation.
• Experience with high-voltage and low-voltage systems.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of safety procedures such as lock-out/tag-out (LOTO).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, often under pressure.
