Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Electrical Installation and Compliance Manager to oversee all electrical aspects of multiple construction projects in Benoni, Gauteng. The role focuses on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, directing installation teams and coordinating with contractors.

The candidate will ensure adherence to SANS 10142-1, OHS Act, and related standards, while managing budgets and documentation for certifications. Travel to various project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a Qualified Electrician with Wireman’s License (EL or equivalent).
• NQF Level 4+ in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical installation and site supervision.
• Solid knowledge of SANS 10142-1 and other electrical safety standards.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all on-site electrical installation activities across multiple construction projects.
• Ensure electrical installations comply with SANS 10142-1, OHS Act, and other regulations.
• Develop and review electrical installation plans and specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project teams for timely execution.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks of electrical installations.
• Manage electrical safety protocols, risk assessments, and safe work procedures.
• Oversee testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Prepare documentation for compliance and certifications.
• Manage project budgets and resources.
• Provide technical guidance to site engineers and installation teams.
