Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a dynamic Benoni construction team. You will design electrical systems, oversee installation on site, and ensure quality against project specifications and SANS 10142.

This role combines technical design with hands-on supervision, requiring 5+ years of SA construction experience, ECSA registration eligibility, and solid knowledge of electrical codes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Registered or eligible for registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Technologist
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on construction projects in South Africa

Responsibilities

• Design and specify electrical systems for construction projects, including power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
• Oversee the installation of electrical equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with design drawings, specifications, and electrical codes.
• Conduct site inspections and testing of electrical installations to verify functionality and safety.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to integrate electrical requirements seamlessly into the overall construction plan.
• Prepare electrical reports, documentation, and maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations pertaining to electrical installations on site.
