Job summary

Qualifications

• BTech or BSc/BEng degree in Electrical Engineering is required.

• Strong engineering design and analysis software skills are expected.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical reticulation networks for residential and industrial developments.
• Manage HV, MV and LV power distribution systems and infrastructure planning.
• Design building electrical services, standby power, UPS, lighting, earthing and lightning protection.
• Integrate electronic systems such as fire detection, CCTV, access control, data/telecommunications and BMS.
• Oversee projects from concept to completion ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

An opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to apply their technical expertise across building services and electrical reticulation projects within a leading consulting engineering firm.

Purpose of the Role: To design and manage electrical building services and reticulation infrastructure projects, from concept through to implementation, ensuring technical excellence, quality and compliance.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Designing electrical reticulation networks for residential and industrial developments
• Managing HV, MV and LV power distribution systems, including infrastructure planning and assessments
• Designing building electrical services, standby power, UPS systems, lighting, earthing and lightning protection
• Integrating electronic systems, including fire detection, CCTV, access control, data/telecommunications and building management systems
• Overseeing projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance

Criteria

• BTech or BSc/BEng Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5–7 years’ consulting engineering experience in building services and electrical reticulation
