Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a competent Electrical Engineer with a focus on Building Services to join their team in East London. This role is integral to the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems within commercial, industrial, and residential buildings, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with all relevant codes. You will work on diverse projects, collaborating with architects, project managers, and construction teams to deliver high-quality electrical solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for new construction and renovation projects, including lighting, power distribution, emergency systems, and fire alarms.
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations using CAD software and relevant standards.
• Conduct site inspections during the construction phase to ensure work is performed according to design specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other consultants to ensure integrated building designs.
• Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short-circuit calculations for electrical distribution systems.
• Ensure compliance with national electrical codes (e.g., SANS), safety regulations, and energy efficiency standards.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing building electrical systems.

Requirements
